I was watching Mary Stayed Out All Night and Baby Mousie was snuggling on the bed with me, not paying any attention to the screen.

Mr. Mousie just called me to inform me that when he took his eyes off her for two seconds Baby Mousie somehow obtained one of my sandals (which was in the room but not in the vicinity of her play mat) and was diligently licking the sole (!!!!!). Good God, I have no idea where that shoe has been - now I see why parents have kiddie leashes ( Read more... )

I haven't had much time for dramas in the last few days but on the plus note, Baby Mousie is now trying to shape consonants with her mouth, really really hard - I think she is trying to say the letter "p". Her babble now sounds a bit more like talking.

1. The baby is with the in-laws for a few days (long story) and the missing her is an almost physical ache. I heard her on the phone today and it made something in my chest relax, as if I could breathe again.
